Merja Alanko-Turunen

Merja Alanko-Turunen works as a Principal Lecturer at Haaga-Helia School of Vocational Teacher Education. Alanko-Turunen has worked in vocational education for more than 30 years, 25 years of which in vocational teacher education. Her academic degrees are PhD (Education) and M.Sc. (Economics and Business Administration).

Alanko-Turunen's research and development has focused on pedagogical infrastructure solutions in a variety of settings. Recently, she has been researching AI and digital pedagogical solutions in vocational secondary level and university of applied sciences contexts.

In addition, she has developed pedagogy for professional life and higher education as well as training for teachers and teacher educators internationally.
