Ulysseus European University is organizing a 3-ECTS course on ‘Spaces of Tourism: Design, Architecture and Landscape of Travel’ from August 26 to August 30, 2024, at the University of Genoa in Italy.
This international course and workshop intends to be an opportunity to reflect on our relationship with tourism, its theories of design, architecture, and landscape of travel. Participants will work on a local project that can contribute to the debate on the relation between tourist sites and city spaces, as well as the intersection of beach and architecture.
A total of 10 students from Haaga-Helia will be selected to go to Genoa and join students from four of the Ulysseus partner universities (University of Sevilla, Technical University of Kosice, University of Montenegro, and University of Genoa).
The course will be led by an international team of experts from Ulysseus universities, and it will take the form of an Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), which means that a 1-day virtual seminar before the week-workshop is included.
Selected students will be able to apply for the ERASMUS+ Short-Stay Grant, which provides €79 per day (553€ for the 7 days). This grant helps cover a significant part of travel, accommodation, and subsistence expenses.
